I have taught around the world and I returned to England three years ago. Upon my return, I gained my QTS and PGCE in Primary Education. Whilst teaching, I remain patient at all times and ensure that the child has a variety of activities to ensure constant mental stimulation. In my opinion, it is crucial to build a respectful and positive relationship between the teacher and the child as children don't learn from someone they do not like.

Furthermore, I like to use concrete resources as this helps children learn the best. Once they have mastered the basic I have a variety of different tasks to deepen their learning. During my lessons, there is plenty of retrieval practice so that the learning can be embedded into their long term memory which is the end goal of all teaching. SATS can be daunting for many children but I will build their self-confidence so that they have a positive attitude to learning which will stay with them for many years to come.

Thank you for reading this and I hope to speak to you soon.
