My lessons are engaging and are tailored to my student's weaker areas, helping to improve their performance in subject areas. At the start of my lessons, I like to gauge how well my students are doing in the area to see which parts in specific they are struggling with. After this, I like to give them a couple of questions to work through to again highlight areas to work on. This will involve me going through a few examples, then doing a couple of worked examples followed by some questions that you'll do on yourself. I also like to implement past paper questions on the topic as they are very useful for learning because they will likely be very similar to the questions encountered in the exam. I have used this approach in my mentoring for the last 2 years and this has proved successful in my students in GCSE maths. One of my students has improved from a grade 5 to a grade 7.
