My teaching method is student-focused and I will adapt my methodology according to the needs of the class. I aim to encourage enjoyment of the subject first and foremost, as I believe this is the best way of achieving desired results in exams.

I will begin by assessing the student's ability by asking them to talk about the area they are struggling with, before setting a short piece of writing or analysis geared towards their problem areas. I am friendly and encouraging and I am well aware of the difficulties and frustrations encountered while studying English. I prefer to confront these if the student is struggling to take pleasure in the subject, and find a way to help them enjoy reading, writing and text analysis.
