Afshin Jafarian

I have two masters in Mathematics and two degrees, with over a decade of experience in tutoring and lecturing Maths (and Computer Science Python). My teaching style is focused on helping my students to think deeply and eventually independently, this is what truly boosts students' confidence.

In terms of teaching style, my focus is on students understanding the concepts (instead of following instructions) and as a result, being able to do well on exams and answer both seen and “unseen” questions with confidence. I help my students build up their confidence and to be able to think and solve problems independently.

I give my students problem sheets to complete every week to gain a clear understanding of their progress. I always tell my students: "Once you get used to my question sheets and do them the exam questions will seem ridiculously easy to you". This has always been the case.

Being friendly and having a sense of humor are my characteristics.

I have also taught thousands of hours online.
