I have experience tutoring a wide range of subjects, formally and informally, and am motivated by seeing your growth and confidence improving.

Many people speak English, but good English can be hard to come by. I've studied linguistics, psychology, other social sciences and other foreign languages, so have a strong understanding of language from a technical point of view, as well as the student's point of view. I also have useful strategies for helping you learn better, both in my own teaching style and for you to use while studying or practicing.

Along with my teaching experience, I have a great deal of professional experience in copywriting and communications, so can teach a professional standard of English for any writing style.

I aim to make lessons as comfortable as possible, supporting you in building your confidence to speak, write and understand English. The biggest hurdle is just building that confidence to start a conversation, or reply without worrying about perfection - no one is expecting perfection from a new language learner!
