I have a demonstrated history of helping students achieve success within further and higher education settings, as well as within language schools and industry. My teaching style is eclectic and my aim is to ensure active student participation, and knowledge acquisition and implementation. I have more than 15 years experience and am extremely passionate about helping students develop. I have taught face to face and online via platforms such as Blackboard, Teams and Zoom and in different countries. Lessons are invariably tailored towards the needs and aspirations of the student and aim to maximise active student participation. For example, speaking could involve discussions about specific topics such health or maintaining a work life balance - with ample opportunity for student input - as well as student led presentations, questions and answers on trending topics and so on. Something I like to say to my students is the immense capacity for development that they innately possess. Adidas say impossible is nothing. With consistency and dedication there is a lot that can be achieved. Literally the sky is the limit. Sometimes the format of the lesson could be an ice breaker using the likes of menti or slido to allow the flowing of cognitive juices, this would followed by the presentation of the specific vocabulary or grammar point or task for the day, supplemented by a chance to practice and finally the student would produce their own content. After that, there is always the opportunity to recap and ask any questions not covered in the lesson.
