I start the lesson by quickly questioning the students on their current knowledge of the topic. I then go through my own PowerPoint which explains the topic in all the detail needed for their curriculum allowing the student to stop me at any point if they have questions. We then talk through a few summary questions about the topic and I also give the student a few minutes to go through a question themselves. After comparing our answers I move on to exam style questions which I partly work though with the student and partly let the student attempt them self so I can ascertain any key gaps in their knowledge and understanding. I will also give a few exam style questions as homework before the next lesson. At the beginning of the next lesson I will quiz them on what we covered in the last lesson to help them actively recall the topic and see if there any gaps in their understanding
