I tend to follow a general base for all my lessons, unless I feel a student would benefit from something different. We begin by recapping the content of the last lesson to check understanding, before moving on to something new/ something more advanced. Then I give the student a task to apply what they've learnt, before allowing time for queries they may have had from independent study. I have access to a wealth of textbooks and revision material, as well as notes and worksheets from my time in education, which I can share with the student. Whilst my sessions are planned, they are very student led. I adapt depending on the student in front of me- if I feel they need more time recapping a concept for example, then we will work on this for as long as is necessary so I can be sure they understand fully.
