The general structure of the lesson is as follows:

1. Introduction to the topic in the form of a starter.

2. Lesson in the form of slide shows, educational aids and a piece of confidence building work.

3. Informal assessment of learning, i.e directly questioning how much the student thinks they understand and identifying key areas of improvement.

4. Return back to the taught topics in order to patch gaps in knowledge.

5. Reassessment of learning.

6. Integration of prior knowledge with taught, new knowledge in order to make a solid and deep foundation of understanding.

7. Review of lesson in the form of pleanery.

8. Out of lesson support offered and additional learning aids provided.
