Once I have a read on your understanding of the material I'll create some tailored lessons at a depth and pace you prefer. Starting simple, we will slowly build on the previous session until you have a solid understanding of that topic. For those interested and enthusiastic, I can also provide the reasons behind certain shortcuts taken in class. The lessons will be delivered online, usually through Teams, and will feature plenty of visual demonstrations to reinforce ideas and concepts. I strongly believe applying your learning is the only way to truly retain it, so once you're ready I'll walk you through some simple step by step examples before allowing you to answer them yourself. I would also like to send you small exercise sheets containing further questions related to your lesson, and I will go over the answers in our next lesson. If you require help with these questions then don't hesitate to ask and I'll respond as soon as possible.
Throughout my time at secondary I found myself tutoring my classmates for upcoming class tests and even exams. This gave me the opportunity to refine my approach and better understand how learning works. I particularly enjoyed applied maths and physics (which is essentially maths, applied to the real world) because I could easily visualise the problem.
I am also willing to teach a basic level of several programming languages: Python, Java and C, through similar methods to the maths, but instead of visual examples I will write example code.
