From my Drama with English degree, I like to create and devise lessons in-line with what my student's needs, abilities and ages are as well as cultural backgrounds too, lessons that are creative, more active and visual and if possible use a wider variety of resources to explore topics such as excerpts from films, articles or online resources to name a few! Moreover, I enjoy using the PPP lesson structure format (amongst other formats which I will adapt to suit the class/lesson) - with a lead-in (warm-up), Presentation stage (teaching the meaning, pronunciation and form of the target language), Practice (practice using the language students have learnt through structured activities that look at the meaning, pronunciation and form of the target language), Production (freer activities and could use role plays that allow students to use their mix of new and existing knowledge, or have discussions of a topic in groups/ 1:1 using the new target language learnt). My 120-Hour Premiere TEFL Certificate provided me with 50-Hours TEFL experience, 30-Hours of Grammar and Language Awareness, 20-Hours of Video Observation, 10-Hours of Telephone Teaching and 10-Hours of teaching large classes as well as business English experience too.
I look forward to hearing from you and would be keen to also incorporate the use of a needs analysis in either the form of an interview or questionnaire to help form the best possible lessons that will provide a great learning experience and be more suited to your needs, ability and personal goals.
I would be open to booking a trial session together to get to know each other more and look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Adam
