My lessons are not overly formal, but more personal and supportive. I like to use writing frames and focus on the construction of exam style responses to ensure that pupils are confident how to get their ideas onto the page.

My lessons are delivered through PowerPoint presentations and reference to materials that are supplied.

My enthusiasm for English Language as a subject is apparent and a central part of the lessons I teach.

This enthusiasm translates into well structured lessons that become tailored to the needs of my pupils as the sessions develop. Each pupil's goals inform the design of each lesson and feedback is encouraged to ensure the pupil"s needs are being met.

With over 16 years of teaching exam group pupils, I have a wealth of knowledge, skills and techniques that I can call upon to design and deliver lyrics tailored to individual needs.

Furthermore, multiple years as a senior examiner for one of the main examination boards has given me a broader range of understanding of examination demands and the skills needed to improve grades. As such, my lessons are insightfully geared towards passing exams and improving examination performance.

This is beneficial for a range of pupils including those who find themselves on the border of passing. I have worked extensively with pupils who have struggled to get a pass in their GCSE English Language exam and seen success with them.

Essentially - my lessons are fun, energetic and positively delivered to encourage pupils to be confident in their ideas and equipped with the writing structures for success.
