I am a strong believer in using multiple teaching styles, creating unique approaches, especially the Communicative Approach and the Humanistic Affective Approach, and teaching lessons that are interesting, unique and applicable to each student I encounter in my classrooms. I have been teaching English as a second language for more than 25 years and have been working with learners from primary levels to secondary levels, all which had varying abilities and learning styles. To develop curriculum that fits the student, or gives a learner a chance to see topics in a new light, is always my goal. I love introducing all my students to new perspectives! I hold a B.A. degree in English Literature and has recently earned my TESOL certificate from Arizona University. At the moment, I am teaching English to primary, intermediate, and secondary level students at a private school, and I am also a freelancer ESL online tutor. My short-term teaching purpose is to let my students master the four language skills to enable them to communicate freely and pass their exams. However, my long-term teaching purpose is to build my students' positive character traits and personalities. I want them to build their confidence in order not only to learn the language but also to succeed in anything they do, stand up for their rights, take risks, an express their ideas and communicate freely without worrying about making mistakes. It is not only about teaching the language but also helping my students become independent learners and problem solvers.
