I joined the University of Nottingham in the summer of 2011, following my role as a researcher at the Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) and the Oxford Department of International Development, University of Oxford. My academic journey has been enriched by affiliations with esteemed institutions like the Nuffield Centre for Experimental Social Science and the Institute of Fiscal Studies.

My research revolves around understanding the socially embedded decision-maker. I've conducted a variety of lab and lab-type experiments involving participants ranging from students across different countries to villagers in field settings.

In my recent publications, such as "The effect of education, income inequality and merit on inequality acceptance" (Journal of Economic Psychology, 2020) co-authored with Luis Miller, and "Risk taking and sharing when risk exposure is interdependent" (Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, 2020) co-authored with Trudy Owens, I delve into topics spanning economic psychology and behavioral economics. Another significant work, "Cooperation in Polygynous Households" (American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, 2018), explores cooperation dynamics within polygynous households alongside Simona Demel, Marleen Dekker, Wendy Janssens, Bereket Kebede, and Berber Kramer.

My goal is to contribute valuable insights into economic decision-making and social behavior, particularly in non-traditional family structures and distributive justice contexts. I continue to be driven by a passion for understanding how social and economic factors influence human choices and interactions.
