We will discuss the importance of experimenting with mixed media and processes. The analysis of these experiences and why they work for you. We will also delve into studying artists and explore their work, and why they inspire you. The most difficult part of art and design as a subject is the analysis and explanation of your work, my lessons will highlight this. I will show you my old books from my GCSE studies and my Level 3 studies, showing what I did to create work, artist responses, mind maps, everything I did to achieve the top marks.

I am a very friendly, chilled person so our lessons won’t be so formal. This will create a comfortable atmosphere where you feel like you can ask anything, there are no stupid questions. The more you ask, the more you learn, so never be afraid!
With high level education, such as college, it’s a lot easier to put all of your time into the subject and get the marks. However with GCSE it’s a lot more difficult and I will direct my students into who you can balance all your subjects and still get the high marks in art. This is one of the most experimental subjects, have fun with it!
I will also go through anything you particularly struggle with and we will work on that before you have to worry about any more information, piling up work is where the stress comes from. My goal as a tutor is for my students to learn how to cope and manage this stress.
