When it comes to teaching, I believe in practice makes perfect. If a student is struggling with a particular topic I will first discuss and try to understand the reasons behind the confusion. Once I have had a grasp of their doubt I will work on it together with them step by step with an example and then making sure they are confident with the methodology used. Then I will give them various types of questions for them to work on to get them more familiar with the different types of questions. This will make them be ready for any question that they might get exposed to in classroom settings.

I believe this is the most effective way to get students to understand maths more plus once they get the hang of it and gain confidence they will thrive in class and even start to help their peers.
Working at Kumon (a tutoring centre for maths and english) and doing private tutoring allows me to be flexible with teaching styles so if one method doesn't work I have other ways to make students understand what they are trying to work out. This is what is most important as all children are not the same and they all have different needs and requests.

Maths can be fun once you understand it and getting the correct answer is always enjoyable. I am here to make that happen as I know that feeling well and I also want other children to feel the same as me.
