During the degree program, worked on a research project titled as “Antibacterial Drug Coating on Iron Oxide Nanoparticles”. During the research, the antibiotics named Ciprofloxacin, Augmentin and Cefixime were coated on Iron Oxide nanoparticles while keeping average size of nanoparticles around 100 nm. The effectiveness of the nanomedicine was studied in vitro against the E. coli bacteria with appreciable results. The
nanomedicine may be useful in magnetically guided drug delivery to the site of bacterial infection.
