I have a Masters Degree in Fashion Design from the Royal College of Art, London and have been tutoring for more than 4 years. I am an experienced tutor with an experimental approach to fashion design education. I can help you uncover your unique perspective on fashion. I am skilled at thinking outside of the box to support you with your research, design outcomes and finding your authentic voice.


About Abbie

Abbie is a graduate of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and the Royal College of Art, London. With both a Bachelors's and Masters's degree in Fashion design.
 
Abbie has a cross-disciplinary approach to fashion design, incorporating print, colour and material, human kinesiology, performance art and costume. She has a vast imagination and is actively working on rethinking the future of fashion. 
 
Over a 4-year period, Abbie worked for Adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm. Where she developed future sportswear concepts for Tokyo Olympics gymnastics performance wear. This was developed alongside projects involving haptics and second skin compression garments. 
 
In the last 2 years, Abbie founded STIR STUDIO, a custom design and consultancy service. STIR STUDIO is continually developing a range of customised sports and swimwear, for international private clients and small boutiques in Belgium and Holland. 

Alongside this Abbie is most passionate about guiding fresh young designers in the field of design. Abbie lectures and delivers workshops on experimental design practices to both the Royal College of Art and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. This encapsulates supporting design students to find their authentic language through a personal, performative exploration of the self.
 
Abbie is dedicated to working with creatives who challenge the status quo. This includes individuals, fashion houses, and design companies that have the technology and resources to truly innovate.
