Lessons are conversational; supported with independent research and easy to follow examples and graphics. A traditional lesson will begin with a conversation of the clients understanding of a subject, then the historical context of the subject, up to gaining an applicable understanding of the information provided. Lessons are sure to be fun and engaging, while still teaching the important elements of a subject well enough that the student can re-explain the information that has been taught. The goal when teaching a subject is that the student leaves proficient enough that they will firstly be capable of researching and understanding new subjects and concepts, but also that those same students may also be able to effectively teach to others what they have learned from our studies. Wow this is a lot of words; kind of feel like I am being asked to do homework, whew! It has been so long since I have had homework. I agree to: Contribute to student learning, growth and advancement. I will prepare lessons by studying lesson plans, reviewing textbooks in detail to understand the topics I will be teaching and providing additional projects if needed during a session. Ultimately, I will work directly with students to assist them in gaining a better understanding of concepts taught in the classroom. I may also communicate with teachers or parents to track progress.
