I predominantly teach science and sometimes English language and literature depending on the exam board the student is studying with. In regards to science teaching, I provide mind maps and detailed diagrams that describe processes as well as labels of what occurs in certain topics. I am happy to take feedback and provide students with whatever they require to help them understand and enjoy their learning instead of making it hard and boring. As a student myself, I enjoyed visualising things rather than trying to imagine it and only use words to describe what was happening. I found learning through fun mind maps and diagrams helped a lot and drastically helped my grades go up. This method had helped me during my GCSEs, A-Levels and BSc Degree and I am sure it will help you too. I am flexible as to when lessons should be and am more than happy to spend as much time as needed on a specific topic until the student themselves feels confident and comfortable in what they are learning. I do not believe in being a harsh teacher as in my experience it does not help the learning process. Why not make learning more enjoyable, relaxed and fun whilst achieving the best grades possible!
