I’m a private tutor with experience in one to one teaching online. I received both 9 for English (literature and language) and Maths GCSE, which makes me qualified to teach up to GCSE standards. Due to sitting my GCSEs 5 years ago, and being in the field of tutoring since, my knowledge is fresh and updated to provide the best learning experience. I’m a very friendly and enthusiastic person, so if you’re in secondary school, I’ll communicate your progress to you personally, however if you’re in primary school, I’ll be in contact with your parents to ensure you have the best help possible! Understanding is key to me, so I ensure students are comfortable enough to ask me any questions at any time; their confidence in themselves is what I believe propels them further. I take pride in my personalised lessons, since taking the time to know my students strengths and weaknesses is imperative to a good teacher. Having ‘mini tests’ (they aren’t to be worried about I promise!) every 2-4weeks depending on the subject, allows me to judge the level of understanding my student has had after my lessons and how I can help them further since in some cases, they find it hard to articulate or realise what they’re struggling with. It also pushes them to continue working outside of lessons, which ultimately improves their performance not only in my classes, but in school too. With experience in tutoring Maths and English, at a primary and GCSE level, I’m certain I’ll be able to help you on your academic journey.
