Carol Smith

I am an English teacher with 25 years’ experience of working in a wide range of educational settings.

My lessons are planned with you in mind, to ensure we focus on exactly what you need to learn.

This includes Director of Education of a Residential Children’s home, Lecturer of English and ESOL for Weston College at four South West prisons, teaching English at Bridgewater College and Cambridge Advanced English Exam Classes at Millfield Summer School, as well as running my own English language business running immersion courses and on-line lessons.

As Director of Education, I successfully established, developed and managed the educational provision of Wessex College. This included: Headship of the Independent Special School, supporting school placements for EFC foster families, liaising and working with external agencies including Wiltshire LEA to support their learners at risk of exclusion, work based trainers and FE Colleges.

In 2009, I gained a Trinity Cert TESOL with Business English and started my business, Study-English-one-to-one-in-England, teaching a wide range of English as a foreign language, including: English for exams, Business English and General English, at every level.
