This role combines two key responsibilities: Lumos Lead Teacher and Private Educator for the Chuard Family, with the option to apply for one or both roles.

1. Lumos Lead Teacher
You will lead the Lumos program, designed for 23 children born between 2013 and 2018. This program includes:

Project Days (two 4-hour sessions/week): Kids participate in strategic games, team projects, and free play, all within ~6-week thematic blocks (e.g., "Inventor’s Studio" or "Cities of the Future"). Activities foster collaboration, creativity, leadership, public speaking, and social-emotional skills. Projects culminate in presentations at community expo days.
Nature Day (one 3-hour session/week): Held at a nature preserve in Küsnacht ZH, this day emphasizes free play, exploration, and nature-related projects, helping children build observation, writing, and reflection skills.
As a Lumos Lead Teacher, you’ll collaborate with another teacher to plan and run these dynamic, engaging sessions.

2. Private Educator
Hear directly from our current lead teacher: will privately teach three children (born in-and 2018) in core subjects (e.g., math, reading, writing, science, social studies) during weekday mornings and alternating Fridays. Flexibility is key, as the curriculum must adapt to each child’s unique interests and learning pace (e.g., teaching advanced math to a child performing beyond grade level). Collaboration with a second teacher or contract specialists (e.g., for German or math) may be part of the role if you work part-time or have less expertise in certain subjects. Creativity, curiosity, and a love for teaching are essential to keep learning enjoyable for the children.

Start Date: August 2025 (or earlier, if available).

This role is ideal for a creative, adaptable, and child-centric educator who values hands-on, personalized teaching and fostering a love of learning.
