11 Plus Exam Preparation Tutor

We are looking for an experienced tutor to help our child prepare for the 11+ exams in Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of helping students succeed in these exams and be able to provide engaging and effective online tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities:

Assess the student's current strengths and weaknesses.
Develop a personalized learning plan to address any knowledge gaps and build confidence.
Provide comprehensive instruction in core 11+ subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure maximum engagement and understanding.
Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to both the student and parents.
Motivate and encourage the student to reach their full potential.
Focus on exam preparation techniques and strategies.
Help the student close any loose ends in their knowledge and understanding.

Requirements:

Proven experience in successfully tutoring students for the 11+ exams in Essex.
Strong knowledge of the 11+ curriculum and exam format.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment online.
Patience and flexibility to adapt to the student's learning style.
Access to reliable internet and necessary online teaching tools.
Availability to start immediately.

Bonus Points:

Familiarity with specific 11+ exam boards in Essex.
Experience using online tutoring platforms.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Compensation:

£15 - £25 per hour
