What is the difference between using celsius and fahrenheit to measure temperature? And why do we use celsius in the UK and not fahrenheit?

(C×5/9)+32=F Input Temperature in C to convert to F, i.e. 0C=32F. There's a good Wikipedia article about temperature, if you're keen on physics you'll find Kelvin helpful... :)
