The properties and applications of different types of triangles are actually a lot. GCSE maths includes below mainly: 1. Isosceles triangle: a) two equal sides, hence two equal angles b) The height to the base side is perpendicular bisector of the base as well as angle bisector. 2. Equilateral triangles a) Three sides equal, hence three angles are all 60degree. b) The height to any side is the perpendicular bisector of the side as well as angle bisector. These properties can be used in conjunction with pythagoras theorem or trigonometry in finding missing sides or angles, further more in finding perimeter or area of single or compound shapes. 3. For any triangle, the length of any one side is bigger than the difference of the other two sides and smaller than the sum of the other two. This property can be used in conjunction with solving inequaliy problems. Hope this helps
