Hi, there is no solution to this problem. Imagine there are 6 large dogs, this would imply 6+36=42 small dogs. The total number would then be 48 dogs. Now imagine there are 7 large dogs, this would imply 7+36=43 small dogs. The total number would then be 50. The solution would be 6.5 small dogs and 42.5 large dogs which as we know is not possible!
