Can you play the guitar in an orchestra?

I´m in my school orchestra in the wind section but I want to try something else. We don´t have any guitars in the orchestra. Is it possible to have them?

Hello, Caterina. My name is María José. Of course, you can play the guitar in an orchestra and be the soloist. There is a beautiful and glorious Guitar Concerto called "Concierto de Aranjuez" from the Spanish Joaquín Rodrigo. You will love it. It is not easy but you can try. This is one of the most famous guitar's conerto and loved by everybody. All the best.
