It really depends on the preferences of the student. For science subjects I would generally put most of my focus on making sure you understand the content and know how to apply it into exam style questions and for maths as long as you know and understand how to solve the questions then it's just a matter of practicing it. Another important thing is looking at what topics the student struggles with and ensuring they understand them properly before moving on. I generally work with my students to figure out what revision works best for them or suggesting one that works best for them as it's very important for both science and math to remember application.

Hi, as science subjects tend to require more memorisation, students will be required to go over content more than for maths. For example, in a lesson we may look at mind maps and diagrams to help understand the concepts in science. Whereas for maths, we will get started on practice questions sooner.

For tutoring students in any subjects, for example, science and mathematics, I will emphasize understanding the core concepts by connecting the problems with real-world examples. It is not easy to do within one or two days. Today, children are so case-sensitive, that their generation changes from us. Hence, I need to adopt many strategies, such as accessing their current status in the subject and preparing myself accordingly. Then, start the lecturing sessions with simple examples to build a conceptual background of a particular topic. Then periodically, the content will grasped by the students after doing the related problems too. To ensure they are on track, I will collect regular feedback on my classes and motivate myself to improve if required. I will introduce new techniques and resources related to the subjects to motivate active study.

When tutoring students in both science and maths, I adopt an integrated approach that emphasizes understanding core concepts and their practical applications. I start by diagnosing the student's strengths and weaknesses, then tailor the tutoring sessions to address these areas while building on their existing knowledge. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, and visual aids to make complex topics more accessible. Interactive problem-solving and hands-on activities help reinforce learning, while regular assessments track progress and adjust the study plan as needed. My goal is to foster a strong grasp of the material and boost the student's confidence, ensuring they are well-prepared for exams.
