There are some books that have on the left the English text and the right the translation into your language. This ca be a great way not to be looking up words in dictionaries all the time

Hey Miranda,
The best way to get yourself to the next level and also become more eloquent in your writing and speaking would be to read short fairy stories. That’s one of the best ways of improving and advancing your vocabulary.
Books I recommend:
1. The snow queen
2. Beaty and the beast
3. The three little pigs
4. Cinderella.
You can also download them from here: https://www.shortstories4kids.com/2016/05/cinderella-short-story.html

I would advise you to go one of two routes: either choose books about topics you like and would want to read in your mother tongue, or read short stories.
this way you can keep up with your reading and it would be much more fun.

The best books you can read in any language capture your attention. Here are my 3 top recommendations for new English learners:
1. Tales by Edgar Allan Poe. "The Black Cat," "The Mask of the Read Death," etc.
2. Any book by Oscar Wilde. "The portrait of Doran Gray", "The importance of Being Ernest," etc.
3. "Foundation" by Isaac Asimov.

Hi Miranda. I would recommended The Little Prince. It's a nice story for children at frist sight but with deep message for grown-ups.
100% recommended.
Also, you can try underlining those words you don't know and looking for the meaning while you follow the story.
