Hello, can any of you give an approximation? Do you think that 40 hours of English lessons are enough?

Hi Alice, it would take from 200 to 250 hours according to EF but it depends on many factors such as how good you are at learning english. 250 hours looks like a lot of time but if you study alone for 2 hours everyday and take a lesson with a tutor in the weekend to guide your learning it would take you about 6 months depending wether you live around english speakers or not and the rate at which you practice. Of course you can learn english by yourself without any tutor but I believe a tutor will help you organise the way you study and make you more efficient as well as help you practice more, because with every subject, practice is key.
