Hi there, in terms of the approach I offer with my French tuition, I start with an assessment of my student's learning styles (how they process and use learning), what their goals are for their French, and how they want to use their time in terms of revision, stengthening learning, and development.

Hi there, in terms of the approach I offer with my French tuition, I start with an assessment of my student's learning styles (how they process and use learning), what their goals are for their French, and how they want to use their time in terms of revision, stengthening learning, and development.
I work with students from 11 years of age up to Adult and always adapt my approach to suit each individual student and what motivates them to learn, retain information and progress.
When it comes to exams, marks tend to be spread out over comprehension, writing, speaking and listening, and I support my students with the areas they feel they want to develop most or are finding most challenging. Rather than telling them what to revise, review or develop, I ask my students to take responsibility for what they want to work on, and awareness of where they need to improve.
Alongside the language, I also strive to make the language and culture come alive with discussion on how French people live, what is important to them, the rich culture and thereby seek to make the sessions interesting, fun and challenging.
In terms of the success my students have had after working with me, one scored full marks in their Oral exam after switching to French in the middle of their first term of A Levels. Another went from lacking confidence with all aspects of their French to outperfoming the scholars in his year group, and being placed in the top stream at his senior school.
I look forward to speaking with you to understand your requirements and what you want to achieve with your French.
Meilleurs voeux, Paul
