Experienced GCSE and A-level tutor

I am currently in my second year studying Dentistry at King's College London. I achieved A-levels in Chemistry (A*), Biology (A) and Maths (A) as well as AS Further Maths (A).

I have been tutoring for two years now and am very experienced in the GCSE and A-level specifications for AQA, OCR and Edexcel.

I structure my lessons by starting with discussing what a student ready knows about that particular subject, it can be surprising how much you remember and it’s a great way to see where the gaps in your knowledge are. I will then upload one of my own worksheets to the lesson space which we will then go through together. These are usually fill in the blank sheets so you can print them prior to the lesson and copy down everything we discuss. These are really useful as you can use them later on as notes as well. We will then start a bit of an active recall session where I will ask you basic questions on the content that we just covered and see how much you can remember from memory. This is a great way of seeing what information has resonated with you and what you might want to look over again. I then move on to exam style questions which we initially work through together and then I will set you on some written questions and mark your answers according to the mark schemes, highlighting key words and phrases.
