English Second Language Teacher & Spanish Tutor (Remote)

I am a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language with six years of experience teaching a variety of ages ranging from young children (4+) to adults at different levels in language schools in Spain. From beginners to advanced levels, this has been a highly enjoyable and rewarding experience. I have also tutored students during this time and prepared many for upcoming Cambridge or Trinity English language exams, with a 100% pass rate. In addition to this, I have been tutoring foreign language (Spanish, French and Italian) students online and have tutored both adults and children aiding with school work and GCSE and A Level exams as well as offering beginner language courses.

Having taught students of many ages and abilities, I believe that my teaching style is adaptable to meet the needs of all students. I am an enthusiastic, passionate individual and therefore the lessons that I give are tailored to suit individual students and both dynamic and engaging, using a variety of stimulating as well as fun activities to help all students succeed in achieving their goals.

With younger students I have focused on creating a passion for the subject as well as for learning in general, while with older students I have aimed at improving revision and exam strategies alongside their language skills in order to become more independent learners and be successful.

I am a graduate of the University of Reading with French and Italian language and communication skills, gained through my degree and year abroad study placements in Montpellier, France and Siena, Italy. I am also a speaker of Spanish after living and teaching English in Spain for 4 years.

As a passionate linguist, I can empathise with language learners through my own experience. During my Erasmus year and time spent living in Spain, I enhanced my language skills through university classes and explored new cultures. I can therefore use this experience to benefit students through well-planned, engaging activities and adopting a supportive environment.

Aside from teaching or tutoring I enjoy travelling, music and baking.
