Youth Worker using music as an engagement tool teaching instruments, singing & songwriting to support student’s wellbeing and teach them new skills

As a dedicated Youth Worker & Music Project Coordinator for 10 years, Gergo utilises music, music technology, and songwriting to inspire and engage young individuals in positive and enriching pursuits. Offering private lessons tailored for beginners in small group sessions or one-to-one tuition, Gergo fosters a nurturing environment for musical exploration and growth.

Having 2 years’ worth of experience working remotely during lockdowns gave Gergo the skills to teach young people how to write lyrics as a tool to get them to reflect on personal experiences. As well as writing lyrics, Gergo can teach individuals about songwriting, basic song structures, analysing songs as part of a ‘listening skills’ workshop either on a one-to-one basis or in groups. Tuition in learning to play the guitar, bass guitar, singing, piano and basic music theory is also something children and young people can choose to do.
