Mathematics tutor for S1-S5, IB:Math, competetive exams, GCSEs and A-levels

I encourage students to think independently and apply their understanding, which would open up their creativity and could take them a long way in any aspect of their careers. I have 3 years of tutoring experience and it helped them ace in their academia as well. I hope my teaching can help students appreciate the beauty of Mathematics, rather than think of it as dry or mundane.

I use the online format to deliver lessons. I believe every student is unique and I deliver my lessons depending upon the preferred learning styles of my students - such as Visual, Kinesthetic and Auditory learning styles.

Students often lose motivation because they fall short in test scores. I would encourage and cheer the students more for their 'efforts' in learning rather than getting the right answer. This reinforces positive learning that is centred around efforts and results will naturally follow. I build the dynamics of Mathematics and Science classes by giving them a bit of history(if they are interested) and explaining why it is important to learn them. This builds engagement and students can connect the concepts to real-life applications. Depending on the student's learning demands and learning pace, I pitch the content at a speed which best suits them and take the content as far as their learning appetite is concerned. Unlike a classroom environment, I can act as a cheerleader to them. I am sure to listen to their feedback about my teaching style, to modify my approach.
