Maths tutor for Primary/Secondary Maths

I've 14 years of classroom experience between being a teaching assistant (at both primary and secondary), a supply teacher and a GCSE Computer Science teacher. I've taught maths, science, art, ICT and computer science at Secondary Level and taught maths to Primary SEN students for all of the last academic year.

After assessing where my student's strengths and weaknesses lay, we work on building up the basic skills required to advance while understanding the how and why of everything as we go.
Understanding, rather than just remembering, leads to greater practical application of skills learned, allowing them to be built on and compounded with other skills in complex ways. It also potentially gives the student the opportunity to use skills even if they are partially forgotten as they might be able to figure out the missing pieces of the puzzle.
