Mathematics tutor providing education to GCSE students

As a Mathematics tutor i dedicate myself to teaching students in a more logical way. Instead of just telling the student what method to use in a monotonous way, I would much rather educate the student on when and why to use this particular method on a certain question. GCSE's are tough for any student and the pressure mounts rapidly especially for core subjects such as Mathematics and so my job is to help students reach their highest potential, where they can walk in the examination hall with minimal stress.
After teaching students the different ways and methods to answering particular sub topics in the mathematics curriculum, I would then test them with exam questions from the examination boards themselves. For example if the student's examination board was AQA I would personally take out questions from a past paper in order to aid the student with a feel to how questions are formatted and how to answer them, so that they can answer those pesky questions trouble-free. Before finishing a session with a student, I would set them a reasonable amount of homework so that they can maintain their knowledge as a student can easily forget everything they had learnt within just a few days. I will ask the student to then send their homework via email or whatsapp so that I can personally check their work and discuss any mistakes made in any question. I would also ask students if they would want to inquire about any questions they found difficult. I would make sure the student realizes their mistake and they would know what to do without any help next time. Finally I would like to say I definitely don't aim to make my lessons incredibly boring, and to achieve an enjoyment within the session I would like to get to know the student asking them about their personal interests and hobbies.
