Advert description
For over seven years I have provided tutoring with extensive private teaching services including but not limited to: KS3, GCSE, A-Level and IB sciences and mathematics. I add an emphasis on critical thinking, independent learning and development. I take pride in teaching students who are eager to expand their minds, talents, and skills, and bring a depth of professional experience and expertise to those who strive to excel.
I have graduated from the University of Bath studying BSc (Hons) Mathematical Sciences, then going onto work as an actuarial consultant at EY. After moving on from this I decided to start my own business in education as well as create blogs. One of my key motivations is to share knowledge with others and help people in a positive way.
I offer personalized teaching services and use my specialized lessons to improve areas of difficulty and introduce students to new subjects, helping them advance to higher levels of understanding. An example of how they have been specialized is to cover the different types of learning such as: kinesthetic, auditory, visual, reading and writing. I observe how the student responds and tailor future lessons to cover the aspects which benefit them the most. A fundamental bit of making a class memorable is to make it enjoyable by adding some real-life context to what we are doing and by introducing some light competition and mathematics related games to help with core skills. We always keep the end goal in sight with improving academic and exam performance and as exams get closer a greater focus is placed on exam technique and problem solving. Contact me to see how I can be of service to you.
