Experienced KS3 and GCSE Maths Tutor

Each of my tutorial sessions are focused on mastering one topic at a time. I would start by identifying the student's knowledge gaps in the topic.

I will then guide the students through the in small chunks, expanding their knowledge one step at a time. I believe students often struggle with complex questions because they lack understanding of foundational topics. Therefore I will focus on building those strong foundation and giving them confidence to attempt more harder questions.

This will be followed by doing example questions, where I will take them through the steps of answering them. Students are then also given timed questions to do. I will be there to aid them if they make a mistake.

Finally, I will help students with mastering what they have learned. This is through giving them topic-specific exam questions from past papers, which I expect them to complete and send before next lesson. This will be marked and I will go though their mistakes and give them feedback, so that they don’t repeat it again in exam.

I also help students with exam preparation closer to exam times, by guiding them through exam techniques and tools that can help students get the most marks possible.
