Confidence Building Maths Tuition

Are you looking for support to build your confidence in mathematics, or perhaps you know a student that is? If so, then I am here to help. The focus of my tutoring is building confidence as well as understanding for anyone aged 11 and older.

Here is a little about me. I am a Master of Mathematics graduate from Durham University and last summer I completed my PGCE and received Qualified Teacher Status. My recent training means I have an up to date understanding of good teaching practice. Tutoring should not be about replicating what you are already doing in the classroom, but about giving you targeted support in your learning. In addition to my qualifications, I have experience of working in SEND, which taught me the importance of tailoring support to the specific needs of my pupils.

I am a firm believer that everyone can do maths, but that doesn't make it easy and it is completely normal to need some support to be comfortable with maths. Ultimately, as we work together, we will focus on how you build an understanding of the maths you are working on.
