Advert description
I am a foreign language tutor with over seven years of teaching experience. After graduating, I have been living and working in London as a full-time tutor. I have been teaching Italian and German to KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, Cambridge IGCSE, IB, AS, A-Level, primary students and adult learners, providing in-company and tailor-made courses as well. I am currently teaching evening courses at International House London.
I always tailor each lesson to my students' individual needs and personal interests and I use my experience to develop engaging lesson plans, aiming at awaking students' interest and motivation. My communicative approach enables students to develop confidence quickly and to use the language effectively in a variety of situations. To keep sessions engaging and stimulating I use games, songs, videos and authentic materials such as films or newspaper articles, which enable students to come into contact with relevant cultural aspects related to each language. I am committed to raising children’s achievements and helping them improve their grades: all my GCSE and IGCSE students achieved a 9 in their final exams last June.
My students have attended Eton College, Queen's Gate School, Francis Holland School, South Hampstead High School, Sherborne School, St Paul's Girls' School, Wycombe Abbey, King Edward VI Grammar School, Latymer Upper School, Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, Fine Arts College, Wimbledon College, Forest Independent School, Henrietta Barnett School, Bancrofts School, Caterham School, Hockerill Anglo-European College, Woodbridge High School, Trinity Catholic High School and Sacred Heart of Mary Girls’ School.
I have taught in-company lessons at UniCredit Bank, Thomson Reuters, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and NBCUniversal among others.
I hold a Master’s degree with distinction in modern foreign languages, issued by the University of Turin (Italy), and a TIAFL 'Teaching Italian as a foreign language' certificate from the Italian Cultural Institute, London.
