Advert description
I have worked across UK and Germany and know a lot about their cultural specifics and ways of communicating. With degrees in Learning & training, TEFL and Coaching I will ensure the lessons stay relevant, motivating and challenging from the start.
I have helped English speakers at work improve their day-to-day language skills as well as translated business communications and reports in both directions. I would describe myself as bi-lingual and always confuse people with a solid British accent or South-German melody in my German.
Currently I am living again in London with my family and offering language lessons to interested and motivated students.
What is on offer?
The key about learning spoken communication is to do exactly that, speak it. Here we could meet virtually to have a chat about a chosen subject. Firstly it would ensure you are speaking to a native German, I grew up in Germany and gone through their schools and university. Secondly the topis would be relevant to you and would help you improve in situations you come across, rather than rehearsing the introduction or restaurant scenes.
Alternatively you might be looking at written communications and improve grammar or style in your work environment. Here it is down to the correct form and structure of how to communicate and which sequence to follow to not come across as rude or irrelevant.
My wealth of working in more traditional sales roles or data start-ups where a mix of languages is common will be a good resource to ensure you get the real life experience.
For younger students we can work along your respective literature/workbooks or include some extra curriculum sources that keep you engage and add some fun aspects to your language journey.
