Lessons are totally catered to the level, needs and aims of the student. Nothing is pre-formatted or pre-determined. Everything is adapted to you, the student, and to what you want to achieve.
A typical lesson is 1:30 hour long (1 hour is possible for online students) and is a mixture of explanations (written material provided), practice, exercises and conversation.
The explanations are in English, the rest in French.
The more proficient, the greater space is given to conversation.
Homework is provided (and a must for those taking exams) in agreement with the student, and is corrected outside tuition time.
In the 35 years I have taught individuals in the UK, I have come across all sorts of students, both in terms of ability and personality. I have therefore learned to adapt quickly in order to maximise efficiency.
