Advert description
I have taught few times both in Greek and in English language. Greek is my native language, however English is the language I have been using everyday of my life for the past 7 years since I live in Scotland. Therefore, by speaking the language daily, I learned even more about it and how to facilitate it to others.
I try to keep the methodology as simple and fun as possible and always try to take it step by step, especially when someone starts at the very beginning. I mostly use a student - centered approach, with engaging and discussions throughout each class. My role as a facilitator is to be able to teach the learner how to think and not what to think.
The content of the lessons varies depending on the needs of each person, however I always try to include a lot of speaking during the class because I firmly believe that by actually speaking one language, you will be able to learn it. Also, depending on how the learner feels after each class, I can make adaptations if needed.
In addition, my aim, alongside with learning, is to have fun and enjoy the class as much as possible. I choose topics for discussion or even music for the listening part that each person likes, so that they will be even more motivated to try and prepare for the class.
