Advert description
Hello, everyone! I'm Alice. Nice to meet you :) I'm a qualified translator/interpreter and also a part-time online tutor.
I’ve lived and studied in Italy, Romania, the United States and the United Kingdom.
I have been a part-time tutor ever since elementary school mentoring children both younger and older than me and also adults. After all these years of teaching experience I fully understand the difficulties that second language learners face when learning a new language. Until now, I've taught over 200 private students from Italy, Romania, Spain, US and UK (including kindergarteners, primary school kids, secondary school students, college students and adults up to 90 years old).
As for my lessons, I take out grammar concepts from various textbooks and teach students with various images and daily situations as examples to help students understand and memorize the grammar, vocabulary and expressions better.
As for homework, I usually prepare customized exercise like vocabulary list, or reading exercises, out-of-the-box assignments and many more all to avoid the school like feeling and induce more of a feeling of the vibrant cultures that the study of a new beautiful language deserves.
Most of my students are beginners and some are intermediate Italian, Romanian or English learners. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or not. We can start from anywhere is needed or desired always keeping it interesting, fun and easily applicable to our daily life just as a native speaker would.
If students want to learn conversational Italian/English as a foreign language/Romanian it is absolutely fine with me. You tell me your requests and I'll try my very best to help you achieve your goals.
Since the school system as we know it is changing daily in front of our eyes, I am always open to understand any particular requirements for different curriculums and exams and also inspire different minds that work in their beautiful unique way.
Give yourself a chance to learn and experience different cultures and languages!
Please feel free to contact me if you're interested! See you in class :)
