English tutor with a years online teaching experience

I'm currently an undergraduate student in my first year at Lancaster University studying English Literature with Creative Writing. My love for English started from a young age where I found myself effortlessly excelling in the subject throughout my time at primary and secondary school. I chose to study English Literature at university for the opportunity to engage with extraordinary literary works. As both a reader and writer, the path of English Literature and Creative Writing appealed to me and analysing texts from both points of view lead me to think in different ways to those of only one or the other, helping me to gain more valuable insights.
I've always loved helping people, whether that be my family or friends, tutoring others in a subject that I am so passionate about is something that means a lot to me, and I'd hope my eager attitude is relayed to the students that I teach. I believe building up students confidence in a subject is so important regarding their future success alongside the technical aspects of learning. I was always a visual learner throughout my GCSE's and A Levels, often creating mind maps and colourful word banks to help me remember quotations and contextual facts.
Some of my extracurricular activities include county level swimming and being a qualified lifeguard. I've also completed Grade 8 LAMDA, piano and singing and am a part of my University college netball team, competing and training 4 times a week.
