Advert description
I would rotate between teaching language and literature on different days.
In language lessons I would start the lesson by analysing a text as a class and answering a few simple question about the text. then I would set a task for the students to analyse another text on there own. Once complete they will share there analysis with the class and we will attempt a comparative as together as a class which they will then complete as homework for the next language lesson. This would be one of the things we do in language lessons as well as experimenting with different writing styles eg letters, blogs and diary entries etc.
However the most important part of my lesson plan will be to ask students what areas specifically they struggle with and build lesson plans around this so that the feel the have all the necessary skills to reach the highest grades possible.
The entirety of my lesson plan is based around the layout of the GCSE papers as I want to be able to prepare my student ahead of time for the types off question they will face in the official GCSE examination.
In literature lesson we would read the required text pulling out key information and quotes four the exams and analysing them I will ask the student to memorise some quotes for homework and test them the following lesson. Alongside this we will also read and analyse required poetry learning key terminology
