Language and Literature for GCSE and A Level

I have a PhD in English Literature and have been teaching for 20 years, including several years as an examiner. I have extensive experience of teaching across the secondary age range, as well as of teaching across ability ranges, although I should point out that I am not an SEN specialist. I pride myself on being friendly and approachable. My lessons are tailored to individual requirements with a focus on what each student feels as though they need. I use a variety of teaching techniques in order to make the learning process as enjoyable as possible.
Aside from English Language and Literature for GCSE and A Level, I also teach Classical Civilisation and Philosophy to A Level. I also offer degree-level tuition in English Literature.
While the lesson style part of this advert specifies online lessons, I also offer face to face tuition depending on distance from home. Although I live in Gateshead I can provide face-to-face tuition across Tyne and Wear, south Northumberland, and north Durham.
