Advert description
I have a French degree from Oxford University, a TEFL, and a PGDE in education. I am a Teach First graduate and have been a tutor for 4 years. I specialise in English, French, entrance exams, and interview technique. I have a proven track record of exam and school entrance success.
I enjoy drawing upon my extensive linguistics knowledge, notably syntax and morphology, when teaching languages. My engaging approach to grammar instruction helps my students to understand the rationale behind their answers, rather than memorising answers through rote learning. I support my students to build on their critical thinking skills wherever possible and to develop their own metrics and exam 'checklists' for success. This has a proven success rate in my four years of teaching and tutoring.
Having worked in six countries across Europe and the Far East, I bring a great deal of cultural capital and world knowledge to my lessons. Having worked with ages 3-60 and with a range of SEND, I understand the academic motivations and attention spans of my students. My teaching is engaging, innovative, and memorable. I hope I can prove to you that learning can be fun and rewarding!
